Sunny Days Coffee Co.: A Family's Journey From Fight to First Pour

We build trailers for a living. But every now and then, a customer reminds us that what we're really building is a launchpad for someone's next chapter.

Meet Coltin Bell.

A dad from Hernando, Mississippi, Coltin was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia — a fight that sent him and his family on countless trips to Vanderbilt Health in Nashville for treatment. When doctors determined he'd need a stem cell transplant, the search for a donor began.

The match? His own 16-year-old son, Reace.

Without hesitation, Reace stepped up. The transplant happened last June, and it was a success. The two didn't even share a blood type before — now they do.

During those long months of treatment and recovery, the Bell family started planning something. Not just getting back to normal, but building something new — together. A mobile coffee business they could take to farmer's markets and community events. Something that turned all those hard days into forward motion.

That's how Sunny Days Coffee Co. was born.

The Bells launched their business out of an Aero Build trailer, and they've been showing up at markets and events across Mississippi ever since. It's a family operation in every sense — built during recovery, run with gratitude, and named for the brighter days they fought to reach.

As Coltin put it, the idea came to life while he was still in the hospital. His family rallied around it as part of the healing process, turning a dream into something real.

Coltin is open about the fact that his journey isn't over. He still travels to Nashville for checkups, and recovery looks different than most people expect. But if you catch the Bell family at a market near Hernando, do yourself a favor — stop by their trailer, grab a cup, and meet a family that turned one of the hardest seasons of their lives into something bright.
